Making Time Tangible

The question of the nature of time is one of the most fascinating and at the same time most puzzling questions that mankind has always grappled with. But what is it actually – time? Time is more than an abstract construct that exists independently of human beings or a fixed quantity that we read off a clock face. Time is closely linked to our perception and our perceived time often has an ambivalent relationship to the real passing of time. Using the three components of film, game and book, this master’s thesis examines the phenomenon of time and the perception of time with regard to their representability.
